Matt ” Moses” Mullaly spent over a decade working in the custom car electronics field before the ’08 recession pushed him to change to a steadier industry to support his new family. He started training as a commercial plumber and earned his journeyman’s license, working 10 years in the field before starting Bearded Hammer.

During this time, he and his wife, Sheila, completely renovated their dilapidated 1960s ranch house by themselves, taking most rooms down to the studs and replacing everything.   With a growing family, the budget was tight, so Moses pursued his interest in woodworking and hand built all cabinetry in the house, including a custom closet system in the master bedroom, a large pull-out pantry in the kitchen, and all cabinetry throughout the home office and kitchen.  In the two years this renovation took, Sheila never found a Pinterest project that Moses couldn’t handle.
